Step-by-step video tutorials every week to help you become an interaction expert.
The goal of this subscription is to help you become an interaction expert. We will be using tools like Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects to import unique animations into Webflow. We will then be using the built-in Interactions feature in Webflow to trigger the animations. With Interactions 2.0 in Webflow we can trigger an animation on load, click, hover, slide change, tab change, or scroll. With the help of these video tutorials you will be building amazing sites for yourself and clients!
I will be releasing a video tutorial every week on Monday showcasing how I built the interaction of the week. You will also receive all of the assets used to create the interaction.
1-hour live sessions start at $49/hr.
The sessions are done remotely via a program called Teamviewer. The program is free, and can be downloaded here: https://teamviewer.com. Via the program we can face chat, voice chat, and I can see your screen from my screen.
Yes. After our first session you can choose to schedule another session.
Yes, you can schedule a weekly class to help build your website from the ground up. Prior to this though you will need a layout of your website either in Photoshop, Sketch, or Illustrator. You will need most of the content for your website, and all of your assets. We will then go through building the website each week. Check the availability of weekly classes by using the "Book a Session" form.
You will need at least a free account in Webflow. A free account allows you to create two projects in Webflow that you can use to follow along with the video tutorials. To create Lottie animations you will need Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects.
A basic knowledge of these programs is helpful, but I will show how to use these programs in each video tutorial. If you follow along with the video you should start to get a basic understanding of how each program works.
Yes. All assets used in the video tutorial will be included when each video is released. You can follow along with the video to build your own assets or start with the already created assets and customize them to implement an interaction or animation quickly into your own project.
While I do show some website building techniques in the videos, I will not be covering how to build a full website. Most of the videos will be on how to build interactions and animations in Webflow using Webflows' Interaction 2.0 and Lottie features. Lottie does require that the animation be built in After Effects first so we will also be using After Effects with the Bodymovin' plugin.
If you are looking to learn how to build a full website in Webflow I highly recommend this course here: Webflow 101 Crash Course.
Webflow also have more video tutorials in their University here: Webflow University.
The videos are released every Monday (Central Time).
Yes, the subscription can be canceled at anytime, but once canceled you will no longer have access to the video dashboard. Only downloaded videos will be able to be accessed after the subscription is canceled.
Yes. Feel free to reach out to me via the contact page if you are having issues with an interaction or animation.
I am one person who loves creating interactions and animations in Webflow. All video tutorials are done by me (John R.).
The subscription starts with interaction number 136. You can find videos on how the first 30 interactions were built on the WebDev For You YouTube Channel. If you are subscribed you can request that I create a video for certain interactions that are not on YouTube.
The subscription was released on Sunday July 19, 2020, and officially started on July 20, 2020 with the first interaction being #136.
